• I’ve been sculpting. A lot. In addition to my own projects, I’ve picked up a couple of commission jobs, really fun work, some of which I’ll soon share with you.

• Bladetalker, my thriller-paced dark fantasy novel that I recently finished, is rolling toward a general release. I’ve commissioned an excellent illustrator to paint an awesome image for the cover. I’m still going to do the graphic design work for it, but it’s great to hand off the illustration work to someone whose skillset and style fits the cover that the book needs.

• I received a minor but painful limb injury, and haven’t been able to work as much as I would like for around ten days or so. The injury interfered greatly with sitting or standing at my desk for any period of time longer than about half an hour. Fairy insisted that it was high time that I rested, since I’ve been going hard for months, so I grumbled and harrumphed and then gave in and rested for a few days. And what do you know… she was right. I’m well on the road to full recovery, and I definitely wouldn’t be if I hadn’t stopped for a rest.

Okay, that’s it for tonight. I’ve got more things to say, but I am trying to go to bed at more reasonable hours, so it’ll have to wait.
