I just clicked the launch button.

It’s finally up. After months of work, we got there. :]
Check it out at the link, and if you can, I’d love your help sharing it: the first day or two with a Kickstarter can be pretty important to get the momentum needed, and I’d be very grateful for any signal boost getting the word out to people who’d like this sort of thing. If you know someone whom you think would absolutely love to play this game, send them a link and tell them about it!
Meanwhile, as this game rolls out and I do the production phase of the novel I just finished, I’m already working on some other new things. :)
Real fast, here are some pictures!
This is Koya the Kaiju!
Koya is a skyscraper-sized architecture enthusiast who is on a tour of a beloved coastal city, trying VERY hard not to knock any buildings over. It’s for a game I wrote called Careful Kaiju! We’re still in playtesting, but it is a kid-friendly, rules-lite game that I’ve been working on in the happy little breaks between larger projects.
Speaking of happy little breaks, I’m writing another game about a quest through a dark and frightening forest. Which doesn’t SOUND like a happy little break, but trust me, I’m having a ton of fun writing it. I wanted some miniatures to start playtesting, so I drew these up in Krita and then printed them and glued them to foam bases. But Smol Fairy has claimed this set, so I will print another.
Last for today, but not in any way least: I finished a sculpt of Cyrus, the point-of-view character in Bladetalker.
I like how he turned out. I’ll be sending him to my pre-support guy soon so we can get him 3D printed, and have the STL available in the store.
Speaking of the store, the issue where people tried to check out and could not HAS BEEN FIXED by someone who has forgotten more about web page care than I shall ever know (THANK YOU JOY) and you can now actually buy stuff, instead of just look at the covers and enjoy the thought of someday getting something there.
I also want to let you know that I’ve made the print editions of my books available in Australia and Canada through the fulfillment centers that Bookvault has there: if you are in either of those countries and you purchase my paperbacks, it should now ship from within your own country, which is going to cut down immensely on shipping.
There are more fun things on the way, though I mostly have been working on them in my spare time. The Kickstarter for Defiance: Duel in the Black Keep has been my main focus for a while now, split a little bit with finishing up Bladetalker. But now that both of those projects are nearer to completion, things are opening up a little.
Bardsword Press will be exploding forward this summer, with new stories to read, games to play, and characters to meet.
I, for one, am HYPED.
